It’s basically impossible to ignore water lilies, just as you can’t ignore gold-sparkling queens. That’s why I’ve included this beautiful and so far largest flower in the collection, even though you don’t have to point it out to anyone.
In my sister-in-law’s garden is a water pond where, among other things, many fat frogs live – and currently several of these magnificent flowers.
In Buddhist culture, this flower symbolises wisdom and enlightenment: with roots in mud and darkness, it strives towards the light to finally unfold its potential on the surface and bring joy to the world.
