We encountered this silk tree at the Camping les Bruyères campsite near Conteville during our 2023 Normandy cycling tour. We were just about to set off when a fine drizzle began. The already spectacular blossoms were further enhanced by sparkling raindrops, which—with the host family’s permission—I was able to photograph indoors over a third coffee.

The cut-out process was exceptionally time-consuming, but it also looks fantastic on the wall!
