The bloom of the Peruvian verbena is truly tiny; were it not marked by such an alarming red, one could easily overlook it.
The intense red makes that impossible, which is why it grows in so many gardens. I noticed this one, however, along Munich’s Glockenbach, away from all gardens, right in the middle of the “weeds.”
