Pulsatilla halleri

The pasqueflower, also known as kitchen bell, is better known as a large, violet flower. However, similar to the dandelion, it is also very beautiful to look at in its mature fruit phase. And very, very tedious to isolate.

This species occurs in higher altitudes of up to 3000 m. I photographed it in the Munich Rose Garden, as I did its violet flower before – which will also be on display here soon.
