Arctium lappa

I discovered this violet-blooming burdock on Kapuzinerstraße in Munich and photographed it on site. A bee crawled across the flower and became completely covered in pollen. I think both the burdock and the bee were very satisfied.

The green-white-violet color combination looks truly magnificent from the bee’s perspective.
The next time you have to pluck one from sweaters or hair, it’s worth taking a closer look!
