Among all overlooked beauties, the daisy probably ranks highest. I, too, ignored it for a long time, until we were lying on a blanket in Westpark during our first summer attempt in April, and I “accidentally” had my equipment with me.
The central, still-closed disc florets are arranged in a star shape here, a pattern that presumably also appealed to the diligent bees.
