Borage

Borago officinalis

This small, star-shaped flower is not only lovely to look at; it actually has a reputation as a plant of joy. Pliny already wrote: “I, borage, always bring joy.” The leaves taste of cucumber, which is why it is also called “cucumber herb”. It is said to have healing properties, is suitable as a salad garnish, and turns red in vinegar.

With so much positive energy, it is also a perfect fit for my collection!
