Aster Koraiensis

I also discovered this aster at the end of October in the Munich Rose Garden. There were hundreds of them standing together—an unmistakable blue-violet feast for the eyes!
The yellow-orange ray florets in the center surround the tubular florets and are just beginning to unfold.
